Sustainable Clothing Co x G.G Made, in conjunction with Naked Pony Slow Fashion and Hard Days Night, presents the Clothing & Fabric Swap for “Slow Fashion September Adelaide”!

Refresh your wardrobe in a budget-friendly way by swapping your clothing, shoes and accessories + scrap fabrics with other people in the community.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Pre-Book your ticket on EVENTBRITE.

You can choose session one at 12pm or session two at 3pm, there are only 60 spots available per session due to venue capacity.

2. Choose a maximum of 10 items from your wardrobe that you no longer wear, consider donating items you would give to your friends and family. You can bring any items of adults clothing, shoes, accessories, hats, bags (no kids wear, underwear, socks, or gym gear). Please make sure all items are clean and wearable.

If you are swapping fabrics, the same rule applies with a maximum of 10 pieces of fabric.

3. Drop your donations into the Sustainable Clothing Co store.

You will be able to drop your donations in between Monday 11/09 and Saturday 16/09, between 10am and 5:30pm at 24A Charles Street, Adelaide City.

When you drop the items in, you will need to provide us with your name on the ticket, if the items are for the clothes or the fabric swap, and the number of items you have donated.

Donation drops and ticket sales close on Saturday 16/09 at 4pm.

4. Arrive at the venue, Hard Days Night (108 Wright Street, Adelaide City) on the 17th of September at the time session you have chosen, either 12pm or 3pm.

All of your donations will be ready to go on the tables and racks, per the allocated time, and you’ll have 2 hours to browse and swap and try items on!

5. If you donated 10 items, you are welcome to take up to 10 items home with you.

After the first session finishes, we will close the doors, reshuffle the next lot of clothing/fabrics for session two’s swappers, ready to re-open the doors at 3pm, for another 2 hours of swapping.

Event finishes at 5:30pm at the very latest.

Have some fun experimenting with new styles and pieces without the financial commitment, all while reducing the demand for new clothing production, which helps decrease fashion industry waste by preventing clothing and textiles ending up in landfill.

About the Venue: Hard Days Night provides you with eclectic vibes, good times and a place to settle in and relax! You can get specialty coffee and tea available from the Caravino Coffee Cart, sip on local wines and craft beer available from the main bar, get down for some lunch-time handcrafted cocktails, mocktails and local spirits, available at the bar. Or, if you’re hungry, grab a delicious burger and sides available from Whoopi Goldburger, with vegan, vegetarian and GF options available.

There is also an outdoor beer garden if you need some fresh air, toilets at the venue and plentiful (free on a Sunday!) carparking around the area.

Help raise awareness about sustainable fashion choices and promote the circular economy with us!

All proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to Catherine House, providing accommodation and support services for women experiencing homelessness in South Australia.

At the end of the swap, any left-over clothing will be donated onto various causes such as the Anti-Poverty Network, Homelessness SA and Café Outside the Square.
